Apartment 8
Small two bedroom apartment renovation for a couple longing for light and air after living in a basement apartment for too long. The existing original wall layout was left in place. Main Doors were replaced by high openings to maximize flow of light and space.
Original partitions, walls and ceilings with horsehair plaster on wooden lath were repaired but left in its natural imperfection. All new electrical and AV cabling was carefully pulled behind the refurbished finishes of walls and moldings.
The small kitchen was re-invented as a galley kitchen with peninsula and full utility closet with stacked washer/dryer behind high cabinet doors. Solid Walnut counters with stainless backsplash and high gloss cabinets in white.
