Goethe-Institut New York - Offices and Language School

Design and construction of a 8,000 sf commercial interior in a 1910 loft building, to house the administrative offices and language school of a German Cultural Center. Under a challenging fast track schedule this project had to combine daytime office use and nighttime adult education into one continuous light flooded space. While granting security between those two functions, a generous feel was created through glass fronts bringing daylight into the depth of the floor, and a reduced, light material and color palette across the entire floor plate.
